Many Las Vegas Pools Are Open To Local Residents

It happens every year in Las Vegas - that dreaded heat! When your air conditioner goes on, and pretty much stays cranked through September. Lots of Las Vegas residents have pools, but many do not. So they'd like a way to cool off too.

There are several resort pools around the Las Vegas Valley that are, once again, allowing area residents to come take in the pool. A nice treat for locals, even if you have to pay for a little daytime getaway.

Heck - you live in Las Vegas. Why not get out there and do what everyone else who comes to Las Vegas in the summer does. Grab a towel, a lounge chair, a Pina Colada, and take a load off, and relax at one of the luxurious pools!

Here are a few resort pools in Las Vegas that will let you in without a hotel reservation. There are different types of promotions offered to locals, so you might want to call before you head out. And make sure you have your ID, because you will need to show proof of residency via your Nevada ID.

Here Are The Pools That Welcome Nevada Residents

Palms: Palms Pool, through April 30, locals can use a cabana and plunge pool for free (for 21 and older). Make a reservation online and show your local ID at the door.

Station Casinos: Red Rock Resort (opens April 19), 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Palace Station, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunset Station, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (May 18 to Sept. 29, pool hours change to 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Bel-Aire Back Yard at Durango, 9 a.m. to sunset. Green Valley Ranch, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Caesars Properties: Caesars Palace, Garden of the Gods - still one of the coolest pools o the strip! Flamingo Go Pool. Paris Las Vegas, Pool A Paris. Planet Hollywood Resort, The Scene Pool Deck at Planet Hollywood.

Boyd Gaming: Orleans. Cannery, Aliante, Prices: Monday-Friday, adults $25, children (4-15) $12 per day. Saturdays and Sundays, adults $30, children $15 per day. Under 4, free.

Horseshoe (formerly Bally's): I called them up, and guess what? The are one of the only options on the Strip that allow free entry to locals. Yay!!

Most of these are pretty set for pool season, but make sure you call before you go. And again - bring your local Nevada ID.
