Dierks Bentley: Taylor Swift Makes Football ‘Easier’ At His House
Dierks Bentley is excited for Super Bowl LVIII, and because of Taylor Swift, he and his whole family, including his two teenage daughters and wife Cassie, will join in on the fun.
Dierks told us, “I have been watching every single playoff game. It’s a great thing. In my house is the Kansas City Chiefs because my daughters love Taylor (Swift). Any dad out there who has daughters knows what I’m talking about. She has made football much easier to watch at my house. Everybody’s down with it now, so I’ve been able to watch a lot of playoff games with my family, which is amazing. I’m not out there in the garage. I’m allowed to be in the main part of the house watching football, and it’s so fun.”
Bentley says he’s full throttle this year on the big game and all that surrounds it. He offered, “As far as the Super Bowl goes, I have no idea who’s going to win, but I’m there for the whole thing. I’m there for the pre-show concerts, the introductions, our National Anthem, the half-time show and of course, the game. It’s going to be awesome.”

He concluded, “I have no idea who’s going to win, but I just hope Taylor Swift makes her flight from Japan back to the game because that’s what we all want to see. That’s going to be the most followed flight. It’ll be followed more than the Santa Tracker.”
Super Bowl LVIII, featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11. It will air live on CBS.
Dierks took to the ice during Nashville’s epic eight-inch snowstorm in January, adding a layer of ice as rain and sleet fell in the Music City (1/18). Bentley, his son, and some friends commandeered an iced-over Nashville pond to play their favorite sport outside as temps remain in the 20s and overnight in single digits.
Dierks posted a video clip of the fun game on his Instagram. The guys easily take to the ice in the clip and dart down the pond. At one point in the video, Knox takes the puck as Bentley says, “Knox, get ’em,” and his son scores. He captioned the post, “Pond hockey in #Nashville…! Big kids vs. little kids.”
