In *NSYNC's first official interview since appearing together at the MTV VMAs, the original five members appeared on the latest episode of Hot Ones. They discussed some of their most memorable pop culture moments over the last 20 years. Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone joined host Sean Evans on Wednesday (September 20). Timberlake was asked about his infamous "It’s Gonna Be May" meme. The artist explained that there was a request to switch "Me" to "May" from the Swedish songwriter-producer Max Martin. JT said, "The parts of their English that were broken actually made them catchier songwriters because they would put words away they almost didn’t make sense, but when you sang them, they were more memorable."

The last question Evans asked the group was to rank their best songs. Because the group were pretty much incapacitated because of the hottest wings at this point, Fatone responded, “I don’t even know what the f--- you just said." *NSYNC got it together and debated, with Bass delivering their final list: “I Thought She Knew,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “Drive Myself Crazy,” and “This I Promise You” as an honorable mention.

Of their new song, "Better Place," which which will appear in the upcoming Trolls Band Together movie, they revealed it has most of their old sound but still feels modern. Timberlake said the song is for their fans to have something "not necessarily nostalgic but familiar."  Chasez added, "When we listen to the world today, we’re obviously influenced by 20 years of experiences, but we still want to give them us."
