Chris Stapleton, Snoop Dogg Team Up For ‘Monday Night Football’
/Chris Stapleton joined Snoop Dogg in a new music video featured to open Monday Night Football on ESPN last night (9/18). The song in the video is a cover of Phil Collins’s “In the Air Tonight” performed by Stapleton, Snoop Dogg, and world-renowned drummer Cindy Blackman Santana.
Chris sings the song’s chorus, and Snoop Dogg performs football-focused rap verses while Blackman Santana plays the familiar drum fill in the iconic song.
Stapleton posted a clip of the new video on Instagram before it premiered last night. He wrote, “New Monday Night Football Anthem ‘In The Air Tonight’ premieres tonight on ESPN.”
Many fans reacted to the post, including one who wrote, “Oh my goodness.” Another fan commented, “There is nothing this man can’t sing! Truly amazing.” One more fan said, “As if we couldn’t love him more.”
ESPN posted the whole video on X (formerly known as Twitter).

With nine new stadium dates, Chris will join forces again with George Strait in 2024. Special guests Little Big Town are also returning alongside the King of Country for the extended run of one-off stadium dates.
George said in a statement, “I’ve always said we have the best fans in the world, and to see so many of them show up for these shows just makes us want to keep bringing them more.”
In addition to summer shows in Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Ames, Charlotte, East Rutherford, Salt Lake City, Detroit, and Chicago, Strait will also supersize his longstanding Strait to Vegas show with a December date at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium to mark the 37th installment of the engagement.
