Shania Twain is currently at her Switzerland home taking a break before she resumes her "Queen Of Me Tour" with dates in Europe in September.

Shania has announced that her "Come On Over" Residency will launch in May 2024 at the 7,000-seat Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The residency will be 24 shows set for May, August, September, November, and December. This marks Twain's third career residency, following her "Still the One" residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace (2012-14) and the more recent "Let's Go!" Residency at Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood (2019-22).

Shania talked with Billboard about the new Las Vegas gig, saying she wants to "change things" up and "evolve." She noted that the whole theater would be her "playroom for a while." She also said that she loves doing residencies because she gets to "consistently build a show" that she doesn't have to worry about moving around.

Shania also said that It's a very different approach to production when you have the luxury of things being maybe a "little more fragile" that you couldn't take on the road. She loves that "controlled environment" and that the custom element of her production is a "luxury."

The new slate of shows will take place in May (10, 11, 15, 17, 18, 23, 25, and 26), August (23, 24, 29, and 31), September (1, 4, 6, and 7), November (29 and 30) and December (4, 6, 7, 11, 13 and 14). Tickets go on sale on August 21.

Twain chatted on her recent podcast and revealed that she is a massive fan of Beyonce and would love to meet the superstar at some point down the road.

Shania said of Beyonce, who she has seen several times, "She kind of reminds me of Tina Turner, or she should be the daughter of Tina Turner or something like that." She added that she feels Beyonce is "so spicy and dynamic" and thinks she is one of the hardest-working people she has heard of.

Twain went on in the same podcast to talk about her friendship with Elton John, who she's been on stage with "a couple of times." She noted that they have sung together and crossed paths "many times" over the years.

Shania Twain has been a mega star since the late 1990s when her The Woman In Me album took off and made her one of the best-selling female artists of all time. Shania is currently experiencing a resurgence of her incredible diamond artist-selling success, touring on her "2023 Queen of Me Tour," and has been selling out arenas worldwide.

Having been in country music for over 25 years, I have interviewed Shania many times during her rise to superstardom. My very first interview with Twain was in March of 1995. It was at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, and at the time, Shania came to my room for the interview on her own. Not even a record label representative was with her. I opened the door when she knocked to see the then-unknown star wearing a smart red business suit.

At the time, I recall I could not even pronounce "Shania" and at the beginning of the interview, had to ask her how to say her name correctly. She was gracious about it. I remember telling my husband that night that I interviewed a new artist today and I really liked her.

She was kind and fun and even asked me after our 30-minute interview if she could hang out with me in my room until her next interview down the hall. During the interview, we discussed our mutual love for Dolly Parton and country music. She also told me about her goals at the time, and yes, she has fulfilled them beyond what she could have dreamed of.

I gathered twelve quotes from my interview with the beautiful lady who, at the time, I had no idea would be such a colossal superstar just a few years later.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
