Morgan Wallen has announced via his Insta stories that this week's shows will be rescheduled as he is on "doctor-ordered vocal rest." Morgan posted to his Insta stories last night, "Y'all know how important my fans are to me, so I feel horrible about this news. There's nothing more I want to do than be on stage playing for you guys. But as of today, I'm on doctor-ordered vocal rest, and we have to reschedule this week's shows."
He continued, "I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%," he continued. "I'm doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark."
Wallen was scheduled to appear in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at the Van Andel Arena on April 27, Moline, Illinois, Vibrant Arena on April 28, and Lincoln, Nebraska at the Pinnacle Bank Arena on April 29. The statement also revealed that those shows have been rescheduled for June 27, September 8, and September 9.

Morgan was just minutes away from taking the stage at his concert at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, on Sunday (4/23) when he canceled the show due to vocal issues. Morgan's fans were informed of the cancellation via an on-screen message moments before he was scheduled to perform, and several fans went to social media to express their anger for the short notice.
Wallen posted on his Insta stories, "After last night's show, I started losing my voice, so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor, and working through my vocal exercises, trying to get better. I really thought I'd be able to take the stage, and it kills me to deliver this so close to stage time, but my voice is shot, and I'm unable to sing. I'm so sorry. I promise you guys I tried everything I could."
As Morgan Wallen celebrates his 30th birthday today (5/13), he just shared with his fans that he has re-scheduled 10 out of the 16 tour dates that he postponed early this week. Morgan posted the news on his Instagram to the delight of his bid fan base.
While he wasn't in attendance at the ACM Awards earlier this week (5/11), Wallen did win the Male Artist of the Year honor given out by ACM co-host Garth Brooks.
Earlier this year, in March, Morgan revealed he is single. He said in a recent interview, "I had a girlfriend for a while. Not recently. That was the last one I had. I don't have anybody right now. It's kind of hard. Just how busy I've been. I got a son; an album, a tour; I've got all these things I do."
He added, "It's really hard for me to make time for that. I want to, though. I think I'm coming up on my 'settle down phase.' We'll see. I'm not in a hurry."
As Walen celebrates his big day working on improving his voice during his doctor-mandated vocal rest, we pause to look at 13 of his best songs.
