Miranda Lambert kicked off her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Zappos theater on Friday night in Sin City, and the show had plenty of rhinestones, frills, and fire.

Before she took the stage on Friday (9/23), Miranda posted a video clip of her getting ready for the show. She captioned the video of her sipping a glass of wine in her custom "Velvet Rodeo" robe, "It's go time Las Vegas!!

Lambert shared another video on Saturday with some show highlights and her narrating, saying in part, "This will definitely be a one-of-a-kind experience." She wrote, "Here we go y'all! Velvet Rodeo Residency Las Vegas! Giddy up!"

Several fans responded to the post, with one writing, "How EPIC!!!!! (fire emoji)" Another fan said, "Yeeeeeehaw!!!!!!!!!!!! So EXCITED for you!! Break a leg, baby!!!!!" One more fan commented, "congratulations, @mirandalambert."

Miranda opened the show with "Actin' Up." She told the crowd, "We made it! We made it to night one of the Velvet Rodeo. Thank you so much for coming out, and we're so damn glad to be playing for people tonight. We've been rehearsing for a really long, long time. Thank you so much for spending your hard-earned money on Country music tonight!"

Before she played "All Kinds Of Kinds," she said on stage, "This song is your friendly reminder to be who you are always, all the time, because you just might end up on stage in Vegas with bright lights. You never know."

Miranda Lambert is one of country music’s most enduring stars. For over 15 years, she’s consistently knocked out hit singles on the country charts, starting with “Kerosene” in 2005 all the way up through this year’s “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).” And she's got a lot of range: “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” – a dance-floor friendly duet with pop singer Elle King – came out within months of her acoustic trio album with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. We listened to songs from that album (’The Marfa Tapes’), her albums with her *other* trio, the Pistol Annies, her collaborations with other artists, and – of course – her solo albums to come up with this list of her best songs ever, in honor of her 38th birthday.
