Shania Twain, Little Big Town to Appear on New ‘Monarch’ TV Drama

Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, and Tanya Tucker are set to guest-star on the brand new Monarch TV Drama, which tells the fictional story of America's leading country music family. The series will star Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon and Trace Adkins.
Monarch debuts with a special two-night event, beginning Sunday, September 11, immediately following the FOX NFL doubleheader. It then makes its premiere Tuesday, September 20 at 9:00 PM.
Meanwhile, on Saturday night (8/2), the cast will meet with the media backstage at the Grand Ole Opry to discuss the new show, and Adkins will perform on the Opry show that night. No word on whether Sarandon will join him on stage for a song.
Country music superstars over the decades have often branched out from singing and recording and making music videos to the Hollywood world of movies. Recording stars that became movie stars include Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Glen Campbell, and many more.
