Chris Evans Speaks On Being 'Overwhelmed' By Taking Buzz Role.

To some people, like Patricia Heaton, Tim Allen will always be Buzz Lightyear. Perhaps YOU feel the same way, but I am personally very excited about Pixar's newest movie about everyone's favorite space ranger; and based off some of the early reviews, it looks like that excitement is warranted.

At the time of writing this, "Lightyear" is certified FRESH on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 78 percent 'Tomatometer' score and an audience score of 89 percent! One critic even went as far as to compare this film as a mixture between Star Trek and Wall-E!

Chris Evans knows that some people have already dismissed him as the character and he recently addressed how he felt 'overwhelmed' by taking on the part of Buzz Lightyear.

Chris said, "It’s scary territory to kind of enter specifically because I’ve never really had the responsibility of such a character. I’ve done one voice before actually, maybe two, but they were small roles so this is obviously a little bit more of a weight."

He continued, "It’s a character that has already been played by someone very, very well so you have big shoes to fill but at the end of the day, you just put your trust in Pixar and trust that they know what they’re doing."

He added, 'To infinity and beyond,' or 'You’re mocking me, aren’t you?' You can’t help but kind of embody what Tim did. But there are wonderful scenes in this movie where he’s being more internal and thoughtful and reflective and as an actor, you do the things you do, and you have your own internal thoughts and after of couple takes, before you know it, you are kind of breathing life into something personal. You almost can’t help it."

Do you think Chris Evans did a great job playing Buzz Lightyear?
