Dolly Parton surprised fans at a Highwomen show at the Newport Folk Festival on Friday night (7/26) in Rhode Island.

While the Highwomen were doing a few Dolly songs for the crowd, Dolly walked out and joined them.

Parton posted to Instagram, "I just love surprises! You should have seen the look on your faces. Thanks for having me @brandicarlile #NewportFolkFestival @newportfolkfest."

Maren Morris also took to Instrgram so share her thoughts, some pictures and some video of the ladies rehearsing the Dolly classic "Eagle When She Flies" backstage before the show.

Maren wrote, "My first @newportfolkfest was one of my favorite experiences of my career. @thehighwomen played our first gig, a song called “GIRL” made it to the top of the country radio chart, and we closed this momentous weekend out with the queen @dollyparton . I don’t know how I got here but I got here."

Here's what they sang with Dolly on stage:
Dolly Parton and The Highwomen, “Eagle When She Flies”
Dolly Parton and The Highwomen, “Just Because I’m a Woman”
Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile, “I Will Always Love You”
Dolly Parton and The Highwomen, “Jolene”
The Collaboration, “9 to 5”
