‘Top Gun: Maverick’: Tom Cruise Surprises Comic-Con with Official Trailer
Tom Cruise shocked those in attendance in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con today and made a surprise appearance along with the official trailer for Top Gun: Maverick.
Per Variety, Cruise showed up at the end of the Terminator: Dark Fate panel and told the crowd in Hall H that he “felt it was my responsibility to deliver for you.”
And boy, did he! The trailer below shows Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Cruise) is still a naval aviator after all these years, but instead of rising up in the ranks, he’s still a Captain. However, he still clearly is the “Maverick” we all know and love.
Top Gun: Maverick is due out in 2020 and also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman and Ed Harris.
