Avengers: Endgame is clearly going to make an obscene amount of money worldwide, but box office estimations now have the Marvel film slated to cross a very esteemed mark in just its opening weekend.

Per The Hollywood ReporterAvengers: Endgame is projected to gross $850-900 million globally its opening weekend. In North America alone, 4,600 theaters will be screening the film, which is the widest release in history, and is estimated to gross between $270-300 million. Fandango is reporting that 4,000 showings of the film are sold out.

What hasn't been factored into the global estimations are numbers out of China. Avengers: Infinity War opened in the country two weeks after its initial opening in the rest of the world. For Avengers: Endgame, however, the film will open this week, and the box office number estimates for China are at around $250 million.

So, in less than one week, one film could make over $1 billion worldwide. $1 BILLION!

Marvel and Disney haven't confirmed the budget of Avengers: Endgame, but considering the film was made back-to-back with Infinity War, whose budget was between $316-400 million and made a little over $2 billion worldwide, it's safe the studios will be too busy Scrooge McDuck-ing it this weekend to confirm any budget number with the public.
