About

Mental Health Awareness Month

May is declared Mental Health Awareness Month and we here at Beasley Las Vegas acknowledge that. It’s important to us that we do our parts in helping destigmatize the fear of talking about our mental health.

It’s with open discussions that we can understand our neighbors better and how to help them more efficiently. Talking about our own mental health can be challenging but very rewarding in the long run.

During Mental Health Awareness Month we want to normalize the conversation amongst our peers. Judgement is a fear many face when battling with mental health issues. This is a judgement free zone!

Our mental health can affect other areas of our lives including our physical and emotional health.

Listening is key when helping those that are opening up about their mental health. Patience and gentle approaches may be powerful tools when being an active supporter.

We hope those battling this illness can find the strength they need to overcome their struggles. Our mental health does not define us.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month we created a place of resources, tips and personal stories. It’s through these real conversations that we hope you find some reassurance and to remember that you are not alone.

We must continue to raise awareness around mental health for changes to be made. Look out for those closest to you and/or for those you may see who need a helping hand.

Let’s continue to talk about mental health well after May as there is no better time to help educate our youth. friends and family members.

Beasley Las Vegas wants you to know that you are seen, you are heard and you are valid.

If you are struggling, please call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org, for free, confidential and 24/7 help.
