Maxx Crosby Calls Out ‘Clown’ Michael Lombardi For Comments On The Las Vegas Raiders
Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders is calling out Michael Lombardi for his comments. Crosby is not letting this slide.
It seems like Lombardi picked the wrong team to mess with. Maxx Crosby is certainly not the person I would want to upset but that appears to have happened. Lombardi, a former NFL General Manager and employee of the Raiders, had some choice words about the organization and Crosby himself, and Maxx was not about to let those comments go unchecked.
What Did Maxx Crosby Say About Michael Lombardi?
It’s understandable that Michael Lombardi might have some beef with the Las Vegas Raiders. He worked with the team from 1998-2006 as Senior Personnel Executive. His sons, Mick and Matt, were also employees of the Raiders so not only did he get fired by the organization but his family did too. That might create some ill will and bad feelings moving forward. Now, he seems to be letting it all come out.
While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN, Mike Lombardi criticized Maxx Crosby, an All-Pro, who was injured for not attending the Week 4 matchup between the Raiders and the Browns, per Sports Illustrated. He said, “Maxx Crosby didn’t go to the game on Sunday with a hamstring. To me, that bothers me. There’s something going on in that locker room.” There’s a couple issues with his statement. Including that he was out for a high ankle sprain and not a hamstring. Also, Crosby reportedly watched proudly as his team beat the Browns.
Maxx Crosby reportedly said regarding the situation, “But then I gotta hear these clowns talking online, talking on ‘The Pat McAfee Show.’ Saying something’s going on, and they’re speaking for me, saying I should be on the sideline when I got a high-ankle sprain. You know what I mean? These clowns sitting on the couch talking about what I should be doing. But the reality is I’m gaining yardage and trying to get right and get back on the field. Everybody knows my intentions, and they try to speak for me when, s—, if you speak to me and you know what’s going on, then we can have a conversation,” via Sports Illustrated. He continued, “But don’t speak on my name when you don’t know what the hell is going on. These guys know I’ll take a bullet for them, everyone in this locker room, so when you got clowns talking, they get their one day of the week to go on The Pat McAfee Show and talk, talking about what we should do and he hadn’t even been a general manager, you’re a general manager for one year, so it’s embarrassing. Don’t speak for me. I’m gonna speak for my guys, and that’s all I care about. I get bothered by that because I take a lot of heat and I could do it, but don’t speak about me when you don’t know what’s going on and you’re speaking for me. Come on bro, you know where I wanna be, you think I wanna be anywhere else? No.”
I believe Maxx! Sounds passionate about his team and that’s what you want to see. You can’t say that about every member of the Raiders right now.
