April Is A Big Month For Fun Festivals In Clark County
When you live in a sweltering desert like Las Vegas, you have to take advantage of the nice springtime weather while you can. That’s why April is a big month to enjoy a fun festival in Clark County.
Annual Clark County Fair And Rodeo
First of all, there’s the annual Clark County Fair and Rodeo in Logandale. Just head north to the picturesque town of Logandale. Bring the entire family to check out some great rodeo action.
Plus, there’s plenty of live entertainment on stage and strolling around the fairgrounds. Of course, there’s a carnival for the kids. And be sure to enjoy all that delicious fair food.

Another Fun Festival In Clark County: Las Vegas Highland Games
Another fun festival in Clark County that you and the family will want to check out is the Las Vegas Highland Games. This event is presented each year by the Las Vegas Celtic Society.
This year’s event will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th at Craig Ranch Regional State Park in North Las Vegas. My wife and I went a couple of years ago and had a blast.
You’ll want to be sure to check out the opening or closing ceremonies. That’s when all the bagpipe and drum bands perform. Opening ceremonies are at noon each day. Closing ceremonies get going around 4 p.m.
In addition, the Highland Games are pretty cool. Watch athletes perform feats of strength. Games such as the caber (long log) toss, the stone put, the Scottish hammer throw, the weight throw, and the sheaf (bundle of hay) toss will keep you cheering competitors for hours.

Fun Music Festival In Clark County: Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival
If you love music, then bring the family to Centennial Hills Park on Saturday, April 13th. The City of Las Vegas presents this year’s Bluegrass Festival. The park is located at 7101 North Buffalo Drive. The event festival takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Best of all, this event is free and open to the public. Enjoy fantastic bluegrass and Americana music acts such as The Blue Canyon Boys, The John Stickley Trio, Damn Tall Buildings, The Kody Norris Show, and Rhonda Vincent.

Get Your Grub On At The Great American Foodie Fest
Southern Nevada “foodies” always mark their calendars for the dates that the Great American Foodie Fest hits town. This year’s event will take place at the Galleria Mall in Henderson from Friday, April 26th through Sunday, April 28th.
Your $5 dollar admission fee gets you into the event space where you’ll choose delectable items from some of the nation’s top food trucks and specialty food vendors.
In addition, there’s a carnival area for the kids, Incidentally, children under 48-inches tall will be admitted free of charge. Of course, adults can tip a few at the beer and cocktail garden.
