There's nothing like that new car smell from a new car. But what about that old car smell?

Old Car Scent Air Fresheners For That Familiar Smell

Maybe old car smell is more your style. So now you can mask that new car smell with 'Old Car Smell.’ A more familiar smell.

Just in time for Christmas,  'Old Car Smell' - a new air freshener designed to capture the 'comforting aroma of a beloved used car - is available for your friends with way less discerning tastes.

I think back to some of my friends old cars, and they didn't smell particularly good. Leslie's old Volkswagen Bug that always smelled like gas. John's Pontiac Bonneville, that smelled like a guys gym shorts. And Monica's Pontiac Fiero, that smelled like it need to go to the repair shop again - which it usually did (terrible cars).

No More New Car Smell

Apparently many drivers actually dislike the smell of a brand new car. I admit, it does smell a little bit like chemicals. And chemicals can certainly make you nauseous. And that's not good. So why not hang an 'Old Car Smell' air freshener from your rear view mirror, instead. I know it sounds odd - or maybe it make perfect 'scents.'

Scrap Car Comparison came up with these air fresheners. They actually collaborated with scent experts - like perfume companies do. The little cardboard air freshener is supposed to remind you of familiar used car scents. But the ones like drive-thru dinners, muddy dog walks, and summer road trips.

I guess it would be the ideal gift for someone missing their old car, or their families old car. Or anyone wanting to ditch the new car smell fast.

Next Up - Dirty Sneakers?

It just makes me wonder what might be next on the horizon. I mean we have new old jeans - already ripped for you. Balenciaga sells new sneakers that look like garbage - for almost two thousand dollars.

Perhaps dead flowers, or old socks, with that comfortable, worn out feel. New toilets that have that used smell, and ring around them. May sound funny, but it seem like anything goes now!
