VIDEO: Our Friday Flowers Delivery Dedicated To Erin’s Late Daughter
This edition of the Friday Flowers Delivery, sponsored by English Garden Florist, goes out to Erin!
Erin was nominated by her mother Joyce. Her story was just so touching that Jeff & Aimee teared up reading Joyce’s letter to Erin.

Joyce’s full letter to Erin:
Erin what can I say about my sweet baby girl. you have shown us all what strength you have over the past 9 years. in 2012 you were diagnosed with breast cancer and went through surgery, chemo and never missed a beat including Codi and Jimmy’s sports. you were at Codi’s 1st practice 1 week after the surgery and never missed any of their games. beat cancer like a boss. then our world fell apart on June 23, 2016, when Codi was found to have a mass on her 4th rib on a CT scan, we thought her pain was from a strain from softball.
This was the summer before her senior year and was not what we expected to encounter. July she had surgery at UCLA to remove her 4th rib and get the definite diagnosis of Ewing’s Sarcoma, August she started Chemo and never looked back. She graduated May of 2017 and was finished with her treatments, looking forward to UNLV in the fall and a new job for her.
You were by her side every step of the way, just like she was for you. we had a wonderful year of nothing showing up until her 1-year check-up and it was back, fast-growing and we tried everything to kill this terrible cancer. Codi being so much like her mother didn’t want anyone’s lives to change, including her brother and baby sister Eva.
More trips to California for trial drugs, surgeries, radiation but she kept saying she would survive and we were instructed to keep fighting with her. No Tears was the motto.. we all had 1 day to cry on bad news and then start the fight all over again.
She lost her battle on September 6, 2020, 1 week after she turned 21. I know that you are probably going to shoot me for this, but I want the world to know that you are my inspiration, my life is complete because of my kids and grandkids and I’m so proud to tell the world that you are the strongest, bravest woman I know.
I love you, to the moon and back, a million times.
– Love Mom.
