The members of Lady Antebellum have been riding out the COVID-19 pandemic at their separate homes in Nashville and have spent a lot of time working together on Zoom, but have rarely physically gotten together since March.

As Dave Haywood told us, he really misses his fellow Lady A members, “I don’t think I realized how much I miss day-to-day life with Charles and Hillary. I’m not trying to be cheesy, but it’s probably the longest time in our entire career that we haven’t been together for.”

Unfortunately, like everyone else, Lady Antebellum had to cancel their tour this year, so Haywood is also missing being on stage with his bandmates. He says, “I just want to be at a show on stage where I can high five Charles and Hillary, we’re playing our music together, and you can look down and see those first few rows of people singing along face to face to your music.”

Dave adds, “I just can’t wait to give them a big old hug when this is all over.”

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
