A World War II Vet in England got a whopping 140,000 Birthday cards for his 100th birthday (4/30) after he did 100 laps around his garden at his home raising $16 million for Britain's National Health Service.

The stunt did more than help fund England's fight against the coronavirus; it also proved to serve as "a beacon of hope for people," according to his daughter, Hannah.

Tom Moore even received a card from the Queen herself and Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who said via a video message to Moore, "I know I speak for the whole nation when I say we wish you a very happy 100th birthday. Your heroic efforts have lifted the spirits of the entire nation, you've created a channel to enable millions to say a heartfelt thank you to the remarkable men and women in our NHS who have all been doing the most outstanding job."

Tom Moore said in a tweet, "It is quite extraordinary that I am turning 100. It is even more extraordinary that I am doing so with this many well-wishers and I am in awe at the response my walking has had... To everyone who has donated, sent birthday cards and messages, sincerely thank you. Please stay home, stay safe."
