Shout out to the Working Dads
I love when working moms are highlighted. I am one, so I appreciate all the love.
But, what about the working dads? This is a group of people that in my opinion, goes unnoticed.
I’m not talking about the dads that go to work and coincidentally have kids at home. I’m not talking about the dads that come home after their long day and relax while mom finishes homework, dinner, baths, and bedtime stories.
The working dads I AM talking about are the dads who work 10 hour days, come home, change clothes, grab dinner in Tupperware and head out to football practice, dance lessons, or the school play.
I’m talking about the dads who know where the vacuum is and USE it. The dads that know how to do laundry and DO it.
The working dads that look at the clock at 9:00 pm and realize they are still in work clothes because they have been paying with the baby or helping with a school project since they walked in the door.
The working dads that do bedtime stories and bath times and the ones that let mom sleep on Saturday, while they go downstairs and play army guys or princesses.
The working dads who are tired and know mom is just as tired.
To THOSE working dads, keep setting that example. . . I see you!
