BREAKING: Troy Gentry Has Died

A television station in Lexington, Kentucky is reporting that a helicopter crash at the Flying W Airport in New Jersey has taken the life of Montgomery Gentry singer Troy Gentry.

According to the report, the crash happened around 12p (ET) today (9/8). Eddie Montgomery, also in the group, was not on board the helicopter at the time of the accident.

The duo was slated to perform a concert at the airport tonight.

Ransom Garcia is the music director and afternoon host on 1079 Coyote Country. He’s been with the station since 2017, but he’s been on the Las Vegas airwaves since 2003.
