Luke Combs' "Forever After All" is nominated in the "Song of the Year" category at tonight's (11/10) CMA Awards. The song marked a first of sorts, as Luke said during a quick interview after his CMA rehearsal yesterday (11/9).

Combs said, "It's the first song I wrote at me and my wife's house, and it just felt like the perfect first song to write in there. We were engaged at the time."

Luke also touched on why he made the song's video so personal by using footage from he and Nicole's 2020 wedding, "Using the footage wasn't something that we were planning on, but when it came time to do the video me and my wife talked about it and we try to be pretty decently private about our personal lives, but we also love that connection with the fans because they're the reason that we are here. And they want to see those things, and we feel like they are a part of our lives."

He added, "I know I got a little bit misty the first time I watched it for sure."

Combs will be performing a never-before-released song on the show this evening.
