Chris Stapleton’s Performance with H.E.R.: A Guitar Lovers Dream
Grammy and Oscar winner H.E.R. made her country music award stage debut in a collaboration with Chris Stapleton on tonight’s (6/9) CMT Music Awards.
Kelsea Ballerini said in introducing the performance, “We got to see it in dress rehearsal and it’s incredible.”
With guitar skills that can rival anyone — male or female — H.E.R. performed her song “Hold On” supported by Stapleton, who smiled during the whole song.
H.E.R. played her signature baby blue guitar during the song and both she and Chris played guitar solos.
They both bowed to each other when the song was done as the applause brought down the house with Ballerini and co-host Kane Brown clearly blown away by the performance.
