Next to the Entertainer of the Year award, for most artists in country music the most coveted award at the CMAs is the Album of the Year award.

Jon Pardi is in the running for Album of the Year for his Heartache Medication album against albums from Ashley McBride, Old Dominion, Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert.

Jon told us of the nomination, “Having a CMA Album of the Year nomination is amazing. Just being acknowledged by my peers and all of the people in the industry is so awesome, and we worked so hard on this record and it’s just awesome."

He added, "And so, as I get ready to make the fourth record, this is just telling me to stay on track. So, thank you for everybody for getting me this nomination, and it’s pretty awesome. And I will try to do the best fourth record I can, again.”

The CMA's Album of the Year for 2019 went to Maren Morris for her album Girl.

The 2020 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville tomorrow night (11/11) at 8PM ET on ABC.
