Who’s Excited?

Just two weeks after the Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup and only ten days since Las Vegas painted the city black and gold during our first championship parade, the National Hockey League has announced the 2023-2024 regular season schedule and the Knights will start their season on home ice at the Fortress.

Who’s Counting?

I’m as excited as Wild Bill, giving his epic rally speech on the Toshiba Plaza! The quest for VGK’s second Stanley Cup begins in one-hundred-five days! But, who’s counting? Me!

The 2023-2024 Season Opener will be on Tuesday, October 10th vs. Seattle Kraken. To set the tone for the season, the Vegas Golden Knights will raise their first Stanley Cup championship banner prior to the game.

The new season should get off to an exciting start. In the first three weeks we’ll play many of our favorite rivals including; Dallas, San Jose, Winnipeg and Los Angeles. Just before Christmas, we’ll have our first, of two, Stanley Cup rematches with the Florida Panthers. And, on New Years Day, the Golden Knights will face off against the Seattle Kraken in the Discover NHL Winter Classic© at T-Mobile Park, Home of the Seattle Mariners.

Here’s hoping all of the championship team returns and especially all the remaining misfits for the start of the new season. How great would it be if the VGK could start the season pumped up and focused? You have to believe their goal will be to bring the city back together and to relive the passion and euphoria of winning the cup. I’m convinced the fans will be ready. Just keep the mic away from Wild Bill!
