Last night's (4/11) 2022 CMT Music Awards was full of great performances; in fact, the show was dominated by performances. Only a handful of awards were presented on live TV.

With so many performances to choose from, it wasn't easy, but we narrowed down what we believe were the top seven performances at this year's show.

7. Cody Johnson "Till You Can't"

Cody commanded the stage with this performance showing fans just why we love country music.

6. Kelsea Ballerini "Heartfirst"

Even from her backyard, this performance from Kelsea Ballerini of her new song was amazing!

5. Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd "I Can't Love You Anymore"

The stage presence of this married couple is what love is all about. They are so cute together and debuted this new song with perfection.

4. Kane Brown "One Mississippi"

Kane may not have won Video of the Year for "One Mississippi" but his performance of the song for a crazy crowd on the streets of downtown Nashville was award-worthy itself.

3. Jimmie Allen, Monica and Little Big Town "Pray"

This collaboration performance with everyone dressed in white was epic and a highlight of the entire show.

2. Miranda Lambert "If I Was A Cowboy"

Everything down to her pink cowboy hat made Miranda's performance of her latest single great. Performing outside with her band, Lambert glowed with her neon green frill.

1. Carrie Underwood "Ghost Story"

Carrie's Las Vegas performance of her new single "Ghost Story" was one for the books landing her at number one on our performance list. From the aerial stunts, she did while singing to the glowing white outfit she was wearing.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
