When it comes to rehabilitation, the Grafton Correctional Institution in Ohio might have figured it all out. Thanks to ABC for originally researching and sharing this story. We had to share it on The Andie Summers Show with Jeff Kurkjian, Donnie and Shannon!

Prisoners Learning Important Skills

They hosted almost sixty people for dinner and the prisoners in the EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute put it all together. The program teaches cooking techniques, safety and sanitation, also knife skills all of which are required to work in a fine dining setting.

The goal is to make these prisoners job ready for when they get out. Most of those in the program will be re-entering society so they hope to seamlessly work them back into home life. Developing skills while they are incarcerated is by far the easiest way to do so.
