Each State’s Favorite Drunk Food

In my younger days, the nights were filled with excitement and unforgettable adventures. We used to go all out, partying until the early hours, creating memories that would last a lifetime. While those wild party days may have subsided as time went on, there’s one thing that still holds a special place in my heart—the euphoria of indulging in some seriously satisfying late-night munchies.

There was something absolutely incredible about those post-party moments, stumbling out of a buzzing club or bidding farewell to a lively gathering. Our hunger would strike with vengeance, and we knew exactly where to find solace—In-N-Out Burger. Oh, the anticipation of sinking my teeth into their juicy patties and savoring the irresistible crispiness of their golden fries—it was pure bliss.

But In-N-Out Burger wasn’t our only sanctuary. Denny’s, with its glowing neon sign and inviting ambiance, became another go-to late-night spot. It was a place where my friends and I could unwind, share laughter, and relive the night’s adventures over plates of comforting breakfast food. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of digging into stacks of pancakes, savoring crispy bacon, and sipping on endless cups of coffee while the rest of the world slept.

As time has marched on and our partying ways have evolved, the memories of those late-night feasts still bring a smile to my face.

  • What Are America's Favorite Drunk Spots?

According to Google Trends data, burgers reign supreme in 16 states, making them the ultimate go-to indulgence after a night out, especially in Middle America.

Chicken wings claim the top spot in seven states, along with Washington, D.C., while grilled cheese, nachos, pizza, kebabs, quesadillas, and burritos follow closely behind in the lineup of favorite tipsy treats.

  • Nevada Loves Late Night Breakfast

In addition to these popular options, each state has its own unique preferences. Turns out, my friends and I weren’t the only people who loved late night omelets. Nevada turns to breakfast food for their late-night cravings, while Arizonians favor fish and chips.

  • Pierogies in PA?

Fried chicken takes the crown in Louisiana, while New Jersey residents gravitate towards Chinese food. Pennsylvania locals indulge in pierogies, and Delawareans savor the deliciousness of mozzarella sticks. Cheers to that!

When it comes to the best late-night eateries, Taco Bell claims the number one spot, closely followed by McDonald’s, Jack in the Box, Waffle House, and Domino’s. These establishments are ready to satisfy your hunger cravings during those after-hours moments.
