A father-son night to remember, that’s for sure. Talking family, baseball and all things Las Vegas.
Jeff Kurkjian‘s dad is Tim Kurkjian, ESPN’s premiere baseball analyst. Tim was actually just elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY and will be inducted in July. He was awarded the BBWAA Career Excellence Award which is given to a baseball writer every single year.
“The award honors a baseball writer (or writers) “for meritorious contributions to baseball writing” and is presented during Hall of Fame Weekend by that year’s President of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA). The award is voted upon annually by the BBWAA.” According to the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s website.
He serves as a reporter, analyst and writer for @espn – and on top of all that, he’s the author of three books on baseball.

The night was all about raising money and awareness for ALS, a disease that Jeff’s uncle, his dad’s brother, was diagnosed with last summer. Jeff broke that difficult news on the air last year.
The party happened at The Space on Thursday, February 4th. We will have a video soon but for now, here are some pictures!
