‘Creek Will Rise’ Singer Conner Smith Rocks Gilley’s

Conner Smith, the rising country star, captivated the dance floor at Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que on March 27.

Monday nights at Gilley's are always fun. But, when 107.9 Coyote Country throws our FREE listener appreciation show, the atmosphere is elevated and it becomes a celebration of entering into a new week.

Smith is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter, who's already a seasoned veteran of Nashville's elite songwriting community. He scored a publishing deal at 16 and has been working ever since, fusing prime-of-life passion with an old-school perspective.

in 2022, Smith earned a spot on "Artists to Watch" from Spotify, Amazon Music and Opry NextStage. He also became the only country artist to make Pandora's Ten List of 2022. His accolades didn't stop in 2022 either with Smith earning MusicRow's "Next Big Thing" title.

CMT calls him “an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.” This summer, Smith will be joining Luke Bryan’s COUNTRY ON TOUR.

At Gilley's, the crowd danced and sang Smith's hits like "Creek Will Rise," "I Hate Alabama," and "Take it Slow."

One of our listeners sent a direct message to Ransom a few months ago, asking if we could bring Conner Smith to Gilley's. Funny enough, we already booked Smith to play one of our free listener appreciation shows. So naturally, we had to invite her to meet Conner during Coyote Country's meet-and-greet session.
