Ilene sent in her nomination for her friend Eleanor and Andie read the nomination live on the air:
I am in awe of my breast cancer warrior! My friend since kindergarten (we’re now 63 years old), Eleanor Buchler was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago. She decided to undergo a double mastectomy. Eleanor had months of chemo and radiation. Eleanor fought the fight of her life and won, and now she’s made it her goal to support those who are still fighting the fight and to stay positive no matter what life throws at her. She designs and prints tee shirts every year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and she donates the profits to breast cancer research.
Eleanor has been my friend for 58 years and my idol for 6. Please choose her for your Celebration Luncheon. No one deserves it more.
