You may have heard this story… In 2016, Wanda Dench accidentally texted Jamal Hinton, believing she was inviting her grandson over for the annual Thanksgiving family feast. It was the wrong number but Wanda still had Jamal over for dinner. The tradition continued in 2017, 2018, and 2019. They continued the tradition this year as well but without Wanda’s husband who passed away earlier this year due to Covid-19. They ate at the same table they normally eat it but they placed a burning candle on the table alongside a photograph of Wanda’s late husband Lonnie.
