- 1993: The legendary rhinestone cowboy Conway Twitty died suddenly at the age of 59 while on tour. Twitty had numerous No. 1 country hits and dedicated fans. His death hit the country music industry hard.
- 2020: During the restrictions placed on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sturgill Simpson played the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to an empty audience. The concert was live-streamed and raised money for The Equity Alliance, Special Forces Foundation, and MusiCares.
