Parker McCollum had to leave the stage at Penn State University on January 27 when he got suddenly ill. He said in an Instagram video he posted to fans, "I was in the bushes for about 10 minutes, just as violently sick as I've ever been in my entire life."

The country star said he started feeling sick during fan meet-and-greets before the show. Though he tried to power through, he got too sick to finish the sold-out performance.

In his 32 years of performing, McCollum had never had to stop a show halfway through. The concert was one of the first stops on his What Kinda Man Tour, which made things even tougher.

After taking two days to recover, the singer got on social media to talk to his fans about what happened. He posted his update on January 28.

He captioned the post, "Update for y’all."

Many of Parker's supporters reacted to the post. One commented, "You are an amazing person Parker!! Prayers for continued healing. I saw you in Houston 2 years ago and it was an amazing show. Biggest fan." Another fan, who was at the show, said, "Your pain was so obvious in your face and mannerisms. We can't wait to see you again!" One more fan wrote, "I truly understand, I had it for 10 days! Feel better soon."

The post on Instagram has been taken down with no explanation at press time.

The singer is going to give everyone their money back and wants to come back for another show. He did not say what made him sick, but he's feeling better now.

He's back on tour with three shows this week. Fans can see him in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Maine between January 30 and February 1.
