Carrie Underwood: Fun Moms Go To Six Flags

Carrie Underwood has wrapped up her latest Las Vegas stint. To celebrate, she took one of her sons out for a day of fun.

Carrie often posts about her two sons, Isaiah and Jake, when they have birthdays and big extravagant birthday cakes or when the boys help mom around the house and her beloved garden.

This latest post from the famous mom is about having pure fun with her youngest, Jake, out for a day with his mom at Six Flags.

She captioned the Instagram post of two images, one of Jake from behind and one of him playing a fishing game, “Took the little man to @sixflagsmagicmountain today for some Mom/Jake time! We rode rides, played games, got soaked, ate so much ice cream and candy, bought random souvenirs, and had the best day!”

She added, “This season of life flies by way too fast. I’m glad we got the chance to slow it down and just enjoy each other for the day!”

Many of Underwood’s 13 million fans responded to the sweet post. One fan said, “Great memories.” Another fan commented, “Aw!!! How precious!!! I truly love spending one on one time as well. They grow up so fast!! I always enjoyed taking them to Cedar Point!!!” One more fan wrote, “So precious! My baby turns 30 this summer! It goes by fast!!!”

Underwood gave the 50th performance of her headlining production, Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency, on Saturday (6/1) at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Performing 20 of her hits, including nine No. 1 songs such as “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “All-American Girl,” and “Before He Cheats,” the country megastar has been on the residency for nearly three years, continuously topping the Las Vegas residency charts.

Underwood dazzled in her custom looks throughout Saturday’s (6/1) performance before receiving booming applause during her finale performance of “Something in the Water.”

Carrie posted several images and moments from the 50th show on Instagram. She wrote, “Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand……. that’s a wrap on this run of #REFLECTION. It also happened to be our 50th show @resortsworldlv! What a run it was…already can’t wait to come back! Thanks to everyone who came out to see us! Until next time… #Vegas”

"Before He Cheats" (2007)
It’s such a fantastic music video for what is one of her greatest songs. In the award-winning video CMT (it won 2007 Video of The Year), Carrie is seen leaving a parking lot brandishing a Louisville Slugger, having just vandalized her boyfriend’s truck for cheating on her. As the video progresses, Underwood takes the stage to sing as various objects behind her, such as lamps, are seen exploding.

At one point, a screenshot of the truck’s front seat is seen with Underwood’s name carved in it. Eventually, she catches up with her cheating boyfriend with the other woman. After looking shocked for a second, she scoffs and drops the keys to his now-demolished truck into his drink.

In her Las Vegas reflections show, she sings the song as a silver Jeep is lowered to the stage and catches on fire. Dancers carrying baseball bats (Louisville Sluggers) dance around her.
"Blown Away" (2013)
I’m not gonna lie; this song is one of my five favorite songs of all time. The music video won the CMT Music Video of the Year honor in 2013 and is just as powerful. Carrie said that when she first heard the song, she already had ideas for a possible video for it and wanted it to be a dark Wizard of Oz. She noted at the time (2012) that it was “a visual song.” She added, “It’s so dramatic. I’m not a drama person, but when you can make a movie in song form in three-and-a-half minutes, it’s surreal.”

When asked if her aim in the video was to generate controversy with the storyline, she said that it was not what she was aiming for at all. She said, “I try to avoid controversy in any form or fashion. It was just such a great story and such a mini-movie, listening to the song, and we really wanted to do it justice in the video.”
"Somethin' In The Water" (2014)
Underwood is not afraid to show her religious side, and she does just that in “Somethin’ In The Water.” This music video was named Video of the Year by CMT in 2015.

For the music video, Carrie performed with dancers from the Shaping Sound Dance Academy dancing in the background and required 16 choir members, 12 dancers, three costume changes, and a custom-built tank of recycled water to create the “dance spectacle.”

She co-wrote the song and gave the song its title.
"Cry Pretty" (2019
This song was the title cut from her album in 2019 and the name of her headlining tour that she did to promote the album. She co-wrote the song with Nashville power songwriters Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, and Liz Rose. Fans know Rose because of her credits for her co-writing with Taylor Swift.

The music video won the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year honor in 2019 and shows Underwood on stage and backstage. For the video and the tour, eye stickers were created under her eyes that show tears and glitter. Carrie wore them on stage, in the music video and of course the album’s cover.

Carrie shows off her impressive acting skills in the music video as she weeps, sings, and tells the story of a woman in pain faking her happiness and noting that you can’t “Cry Pretty.”
"Cowboy Casanova" (2010)
This was the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year in 2010. The music video features Underwood and her entourage, who are all wearing flapper party gowns. In the clip, she warns everyone about smooth-talking, attractive men and their true intentions.

The man in the video has designs on Carrie’s character in the video. In the end, along with her empowered entourage, she has a showdown with the man in a back alley and defiantly spurns his advances, leading him to give up and walk away.
