Kelsea Ballerini Gets Back on the CMA Fest Stage
Kelsea Ballerini is performing at CMA Fest on Friday night (6/8) in Nashville at Nissan Stadium.
No stranger to performing on the big stage at CMA Fest, Kelsea actually hosted the ABC CMA TV Special along with Thomas Rhett from 2015 to 2019.
A few years back, Ballerini told us about what fun it was to host CMA Fest for several years, “Every year is like literally a whirlwind different CMA Fest. The reason I loved hosting it so much, though, is that it kept me in the stadium, and I got to watch everyone, which I didn’t get to do before I hosted.”
She added, “I love being a fan and watching my friends do what they do. So yeah, that was really cool to get the fan tank filled. And hosting was fun too.”
Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, and Jon Pardi will also perform at Nissan Stadium on Friday night (6/7).
This year’s (2024) CMA Fest TV special hosts are Jelly Roll and Ashley McBryde. CMA Fest 2024 runs this week, June 6 – June 9.

Ballerini was honored in Nashville a few weeks ago (5/22) as Musicians On Call celebrates its 25th year with the healing power of music to patients, families, and caregivers in hospitals across the country.
The night featured live performances and appearances by award-winning artists, including Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna Judd, Charles Esten, Tiera Kennedy, and Tigirlily Gold.
Ballerini received the Music Heals Golden Ukulele, as well as performed during the night. For nearly a decade, the country star has supported MOC as a Volunteer Musician, performing live at the bedsides of patients in Nashville and Phoenix, as well as virtually during the pandemic to bring the healing power of music to those who needed it most.
Musicians On Call President & CEO Pete Griffin said, “An idea that came about during a hospital concert in New York City 25 years ago has evolved into an organization that, while headquartered here in Nashville, has created remarkable moments of joy and healing for hospital patients all over the country. This night is about celebrating the people and songs that have made those moments possible.”
He added, “Kelsea has significantly impacted our mission and the patients we serve. Having such legendary artists join us to honor them, and our organization is the perfect way to mark this milestone.”
