Shania Twain Will Never ‘Forget’ Her Ex’s Cheating
Shania Twain said she will “never forget’ her ex-husband cheating on her. She discussed this during an interview on a recent podcast.
Shania said that “forgiveness is in the family of letting go,” but for her, it is not about “forgetting necessarily.”
Twain noted that “It’s about understanding the other person,” and that might mean that they’re wrong. Maybe you believe forever that whatever they did was wrong.
She added, “Do I hate my ex-husband Mutt Lange for making a mistake? No. It’s his mistake. Not my mistake.”
She continued, “So sad for him that he made such a great mistake that he has to live with. And I don’t know what that is, but it’s not … That’s not my weight.”
Robert “Mutt” Lange was a well-known rock producer and songwriter who collaborated with Twain on some of her most successful music; they got married in late 1993, and had a son, Eja. The country icon and Mutt separated in 2008 and divorced two years later. But it wasn’t until 2015 that the singer revealed the betrayal that had torn apart her marriage. Lange cheated on her with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud. Shania later married Marie-Anne’s ex-husband, Frederic Thiebuad.

In other Shania news, Twain posted video clips and photos of her recently visiting Mattel and getting her own Barbie, complete with the costume inspired by her “Man, I Feel Like A Woman” outfit. The Barbie features Twain with golden blonde hair, just like Barbie.
In a video clip she posted on Instagram, she holds her likeness Barbie and says, “That is the original ‘Man, I Feel Like A Woman’ outfit, and the hair is just me still playing Barbie with myself. The story carries on, and it’s really beautiful that we can evolve.”
Shania captioned the post, “Ladies and gentlemen… HER (heart emoji): I am honored to be recognized as a Barbie role model – I have my own one-of-a-kind Barbie doll!! Pinch me!! All I’ve wanted to do my whole life is tell stories of empowerment, independence, and self-expression through my songwriting; getting to do that and inspire women and girls along the way is the dream… everything else is a beautiful bonus! It means a lot to expand my responsibility as a role model into the Barbie world; thank you, @barbie and Mattel, for creating this reflection of me. I love her!! #Barbie #Barbie65.”
