This Flamethrower Robot Dog Is Totally Legal To Own In Nevada
It looks like something straight out of a science fiction movie, a flamethrower robot dog. Listen, I never imagined ever saying that sentence, but here we are in the year of our lord, 2024, and I kinda want one!
The company who makes the robot is called Throwflame. They’re based out of Ohio and they have a knack for turning things into flamethrowers. In the past, they’ve created conversion kits to make any drone that can carry more than 5lbs into a flamethrower. They also have compact units and full-sized flamethrowers for sale on their website.
Is It Legal To Own A Flamethrower Robot Dog In Nevada?
According to Throwflame’s website, yes. In fact, because flamethrowers are considered agricultural tools that also means they’re legal almost everywhere with virtually no restrictions! Nevada included! According to their website, flamethrowers are actually legal in all 50 states. However, a special permit is required for anyone living in the state of California or Maryland.
The company says on their site that they can also ship their flamethrowers worldwide — of course, where the tool is legal.
Do annoying waiting periods bum you out? No worries! Because Throwflame says customers receive their orders in just a few days without any of those annoying waiting periods, tax stamps or background checks.
How Much Will A Flamethrower Robot Dog Cost You?
Going back to the robot dog… First off, it has the greatest name ever! They’re calling it the “Thermonator” and owning one is going to set you back a cool $9,400! I’m surprised that the product description doesn’t mention anything about Thermonator being the perfect guard dog — Instead, the company lists a bunch of things you’ll be able to do with the robot. The list includes controlled burns, ice and snow removal, clearing weeds, pyrotechnics or entertainment, and finally they say it’ll be great for pest removal.
Pest removal? I mean, watch their promo video below and imagine chasing the kind of critters we get in Las Vegas with one of these things.
Thermonator can be fully controlled via an app. It’ll have a 30 foot range, an FPV camera, and can reach a top speed of 6 mph!
I can’t afford it… but I really want one!
