JUST ANNOUNCED: Zach Top At Gilley’s

Our next listener appreciation show is coming up and it'll be the incredible Zach Top at Gilley's! And like all of our listener shows, it'll be ABSOLUTELY FREE for you to attend!

For those of you unfamiliar with Zach, let me tell you a little story about how he came onto our radar! It was last year, 2023, and Shawn Stevens was putting together a new music segment for the radio station. Shawn, who has so many friends in Nashville, decided to open his phone and send a text to Lainey Wilson. It was a simple text, that asked a simple question, "Hey Lainey, who's somebody in Nashville who deserves to be on the radio and should be on our radar?"

Lainey couldn't have responded faster or with more excitement! Within seconds, those three little bubbles popped up on Shawn's iPhone immediately followed by Lainey's answer, "Zach Top!"

At the time, Zach was not signed with any label, but he had been putting in the work in Nashville and creating his own story within the industry! And people, like Lainey FREAKING Wilson were noticing!

Fast forward to present day and Zach Top is signed with LEO33 records and interestingly enough, he'll be hitting the road WITH Lainey Wilson later this year! She knew he was a rock star from the beginning and pretty soon, you'll be able to see why Lainey is such a huge fan of Zach Top and his music!

Mark it on your calendar, Zach will be gracing the stage at Gilley's on Monday, April 29th! Like always, it'll be free for you to attend the show and parking is also always free at the Treasure Island!

Doors at 7pm
Coyote Country will be there at 8pm
and Zach Top will take the stage at 9pm!

The 2024 CMT Awards was held at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, for the second year in a row on Sunday, April 7. Airing live with Kelsea Ballerini as host, this will be the first time Ballerini has hosted the show on her own. She previously co-hosted the fan-voted awards show for two years with Kane Brown in 2021 and 2023 and joined remotely in 2022.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be back for my 4th year,” Ballerini said in a press release. “Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor and I know this year will be another unforgettable night." The show is available on CBS and on-demand on Paramount+ with Showtime from 8 pm to 11 pm ET.

Performances of the night will include Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Parker McCollum, Brittney Spencer, Kelsea Ballerini, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, Sam Hunt, Dasha, Jason Aldean and Trisha Yearwood.

The awards show also featured several collaborations. Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson, and Sammy Hagar will perform a tribute to the late Toby Keith. Little Big Town also hit the stage with Sugarland.

Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson and Megan Moroney led the pack with the most nominations with three nods each. First-time nominees include Hozier, Koe Wetzel, Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan.

When it comes to the looks of the night, there were a lot of flops with the men's choice of outfits on the red carpet.
