Mark Wahlberg Is Hosting A Free Movie Tonight In Las Vegas
It looks like Mark Wahlberg is making good on his promise to make Las Vegas a movie town. The actor, who moved to the Las Vegas Valley a few years ago, has invited fans to a special event in celebration to his new movie, “Arthur The King.”
Earlier this week, on social media, Mark Wahlberg announced that there will be a free showing of the movie at the AMC theater, located at 6587 S. Las Vegas Blvd. tonight!
The event will be a first come, first serve and fans will be asked to come early to secure seating. For those unfamiliar with the film, “Arthur The King” is the story of an athlete who befriends a dog named Arthur while preparing for a massive racing championship in the Dominican Republic. The film stars: Mark Wahlberg, Simu Liu, Juliet Rylance, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ali Suliman, with Bear Grylls as Himself, and Paul Guilfoyle. The movie is also based on true events, however certain things were changed.
According to an article by USA Today, the real story took place in an entirely different country. In real life, Arthur was a stray dog in Equator who tailed a Swedish team on their journey during the Huairasinchi World Adventure Racing Championship Ecuador. He was a true tough cookie.
Wahlberg moved to Las Vegas, with his family, a few years ago, in 2022. Since then, he has been fairly vocal about his desire to build a thriving film industry in the city.
