Jason Aldean is teaming up with Kid Rock to bring seven small towns in America headlining country stars. The Rock the Country Festival will play out in 2024, beginning in April, with shows in Gonzalez, Louisianna, Ashland, Kentucky, Rome, Georgia, and more.

According to the tour's official website, Rock The Country, each show promises a lineup of artists from a curated list of hitmakers: Miranda Lambert, Hank Williams Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Brantley Gilbert are four taking part in some or each of these shows. Lee Brice, Nelly, Warren Zeiders, and Randy Houser are also on the bill.

Rock the Country is a new festival series created by producers of Rock the South. RV and car camping is available at each show. Tickets go on sale on November 17 at 10 AM, and tickets are as low as $33 each.

Aldean just released (11/3) his 11th studio album, dubbed Highway Desperado.

Jason said about the new album, "I think when I look back on it, I built my career early on my live show and have been on the road touring since I was 18 years old. For us, touring is our favorite part. Getting on the bus and going town to town and playing our shows and doing our thing and seeing the fans … the title for the tour and album was really inspired from that."

Aldean had a hand in writing three of the new album's 14 songs and reunited with his longtime producer, Michael Knox, on the project. Jason is a co-writer on "Hungover in a Hotel," "Breakup Breakdown," and the album's title track.

The project marks his first since his double album, Macon, Georgia, which was released in 2021 and 2022.

Jason Aldean blows out 46th birthday candles today (2/28). Jason has already been quite busy in 2023 as he and his family move to a new home. Last week, he started work on a brand new album by showing images of himself in the recording studio on Instagram.

Aldean has a big year coming up with a major tour, the "Highway Desperado Tour." The 41-city headlining tour kicks off on July 14 at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York, making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, Charlotte, Phoenix, and more before wrapping up in Tampa at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on October 28. Mitchell Tenpenny serves as direct support for Aldean alongside openers Corey Kent and Dee Jay Silver.

Tickets are already on sale. Fans can also purchase VIP Packages, including premium tickets, an invitation to the Jason Aldean VIP Lounge, a pre-show acoustic performance and Q&A session with Jason Aldean, VIP gift items and more. For more information, visit VIPnation.com!

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
