Luke Combs recorded a video clip during his European tour and posted it to Instagram. He updated fans on how his new baby and wife Nicole are doing. Combs also started a fun contest with his songwriter buddies out on the road and wants to invite his fans to join in.

He said in the posted clip, "I'm somewhere in Europe right now. I believe in Germany, actually, at the moment. I know it's been a long time since you guys have heard from me. Obviously, things have been really busy; we toured Australia for a month and came home to a new baby, two under two. Nicole's doing great. Baby is doing great. I'm doing great. It's just been really busy."

Luke continued, "I wanted to update you on something we're doing on this European trip kind of for everybody to be involved in. So, I'm lucky enough to have three of my good buddies riding on the bus with me, who I write songs with, and a bunch of other great songwriters that are in the band that are working for me. We were watching the Ryder Cup (international golf tournament) at the beginning of this trip, and we decided that we wanted to do something called 'The Songwriter Cup,' a little play on words there, probably lame, but we thought it was cool."

Combs then explained that his songwriting buddies and himself would be put in two groups of "teams" and write songs that he would record on a "work tape" and release clips on his Insta Stories and have fans vote on the winners.

He added, "There's really nothing at stake here except pride for us. It's a way to keep ourselves entertained out here and get some work done at the same time."

Luke concluded the post by saying, "The shows have been insane. I love you guys, and I can't wait to go hit the stadiums again next year. Working on new music. Very excited for everything to come."

In August, Luke Combs announced his "Growin' Up And Gettin' Old" U.S. Tour with dates from April 2024 through August.

Luke talked with us about touring stadiums. "You know when we're doing a show like this, whether it's going over ticket pricing or picking openers or picking cities. I mean, we try to think of them first at every turn, truly."

He added, "I hope that comes across when they see the show and, when they're at the box office to buy their tickets, I hope those things kind of come across."

Luke Combs is getting ready to release his latest album, Growing Old, later this month (3/24), and then he kicks off his world tour, which will play stadiums all over the world. That is not bad for a guy who studied criminal justice in college just over ten years ago.

As his country star continues to rise, Luke became a new dad in July of last year (2022) and has been busy helping out his wife Nicole take care of his son Tex. He also performed as a multiple nominee at the Grammy Awards show in February (2/5).

Combs celebrates his 33rd birthday today (3/2), and to honor him; we rank his 16 biggest and best songs.
