‘Pawn Stars’ Personality Arrested For DUI In Las Vegas
Driving under the influence (DUI) is a serious matter, and it’s crucial to understand why no one should ever get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol. Not only is it illegal, but it also poses significant risks to yourself and others on the road. Just ask Corey Harrison, a well-known face from the reality TV show, “Pawn Stars,” who recently found himself in a DUI debacle in Las Vegas.
According to a News 3 Article, the incident happened at 2:11 a.m. on Friday, Sept 8th. That’s when police noticed a white Ford F250 pickup truck, sporting Nevada plates, careening erratically into the bike lane.
The officer then decided to tail the truck as it continues on its zigzagging journey through the intersection of Main and Charleston. Concerned about public safety, they initiated a traffic stop. But here’s where it gets interesting.
The truck doesn’t stop right away. According to the police report, the truck is “slightly slow to stop.” Sensing something amiss, the officer uses their P.A. system to get the driver’s attention. When they finally make contact, it’s Corey Harrison in the driver’s seat.
According to their report, Harrison’s eyes told a story of their own: they’re bloodshot, watery, and droopy. His gaze seems vacant, and to make matters worse, there’s an unmistakable aroma of alcohol wafting from the truck’s interior. Remember, Harrison is alone in the vehicle.
With these red flags waving boldly, the officer calls for backup, deciding to wait for a supervisor before proceeding with a field sobriety test. A short while later, at 2:28 a.m., the test is conducted, according to another article by Fox 5 reporter C.C. McCandless.
Initially, Harrison drops hints about consulting his lawyer, suggesting he might “probably ask for his lawyer” before agreeing to undergo a blood or breath test. But after a little persuasion, he eventually consents to the breath test. It’s a decision that leads to his arrest, as the results confirm his intoxicated state. He was promptly taken into custody and booked at the Las Vegas City Jail on DUI charges.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but Corey Harrison’s story is one of many that highlights the consequences of impaired driving, even for public figures. Always remember, it’s never worth risking lives for a night out.
