Miranda Lambert Launches Campaign To Spay And Neuter Pets
Miranda Lambert has launched a new MuttNation Foundation campaign, “It Takes Balls.” The campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering. It will offer grant applications to low-cost programs in Tennessee, focusing on rural areas.
Miranda said, “Spay and neutering is the best way to keep pets out of overcrowded shelters. Also, to reduce pet homelessness, and to make sure your cats and dogs live happy and healthy lives. Sometimes it literally takes balls to do the right thing. Please spay or neuter your pets!”
She added, “We especially encourage low-cost spay and neuter clinics in rural Tennessee that serve multiple counties to apply, and we hope to expand the program beyond Tennessee soon.”
MuttNation notes that “Every day, 70,000 puppies and kittens are born in the U.S. While beloved for their cuteness, there is nothing cute at all about seeing them wind up in overcrowded shelters. Especially as over 3.5 million dogs and cats are euthanized across the country every year, often due to lack of space.” MuttNation is inviting Tennessee low-cost spay and neuter programs to complete and submit a grant application to help address this ongoing issue.
The application can be found here.

Lambert made headlines recently when she stopped her show in Las Vegas over the weekend when she began to sing “Tin Man,” and some fans up front were bothering her. One fan posted the tense moment where Miranda can be seen tapping her foot as she spoke on TikTok.
Lambert says in the video, “I’m gonna stop right here for a second; I’m sorry.” She then looks down in the first few rows and points, “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song.”
She continued, “It’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”
Many fans were unhappy with the interaction with the crowd, and one fan wrote; I would have gone home after that.” While several fans did defend her, with one saying, “I kinda like this,” another fan commented, “What a Diva.” Watch the TikTok video here.
