The latest on her cause of death comes via TMZ, which cites the L.A. County Coroner. The outlet notes more details pertaining to her cause of death have not yet been made public, including the toxicology report.
Lisa Marie died suddenly on January 12 at the age of 54. She, of course, was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
Lisa Marie’s death was confirmed in a statement from Priscilla to the media. Priscilla said, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Earlier in the day on January 12, news broke that Lisa Marie suffered cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, Calif. Medical personnel were able to regain a pulse before she was transported to a nearby hospital. It was later reported she was in an Intensive Care Unit and on life support with a temporary pacemaker. Additionally, she was in an induced coma.
Lisa Marie’s sudden death came just two days after attending the Golden Globe Awards with her mother. The two were in attendance to support the biopic Elvis, which starred Austin Butler who won a Globe for his portrayal of Elvis Presley.
