Bailey Zimmerman's Love Life Is 'Very Up and Down'

Bailey Zimmerman has been scoring number-one hits at country radio this year and is Morgan Wallen's opening act on his 2023 "One Night At A Time" stadium tour this summer. And he is one fun and excitable guy. He lights up during interviews and often says things that other country stars don't spill the beans on so quickly, like his love life.

Bailey told us recently just how his love life is going as his country music star continues to rise. Zimmerman said, "Just speaking for me, my love life has been... it's crazy. I believe in God like really, really heavy. I've learned that he is gonna show you things that you don't think are gonna happen, like, 'You're gonna find this girl, and you think, 'Oh, no, I might fall in love.' Then all of a sudden, she breaks your heart, and you write another banger of a heartache song, and then you have no idea what God has next in store for you."

Bailey has been trying to find the right girl for him, but he has not found her so far. He said, "I've learned to expect the unexpected. There's gonna be girls that come in, and you think that they might be around for a while, and then they do the craziest stuff, and then it breaks your heart, and then you go (pointing to a fellow songwriter) come over, this is ridiculous, we've gotta write a song about this dude."

Zimmerman says, "My love life has been very, very up and down. I thought I found something in 2022 a little bit, and then she ended up being the same way as the rest I've been in with. So, I'm looking. I feel like I'm good-looking enough to have a wife. But, hey, I'll just let God plan that out and keep rocking and having fun. Hopefully, one day, though."

Newcomer Bailey Zimmerman is heating up the country charts as his song "Rock and A Hard Place" enters the top five this week. Bailey is also preparing to open shows on Morgan Wallen's "One Night At A Time" tour in Australia next week.

Zimmerman has already logged over 400 million global streams, notched two entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold out his first headline tour.

Bailey grew up in the small town of Louisville, Illinois. His success began when a garage-recorded demo of his song "Never Comin' Home" amassed over a million plays overnight. Zimmerman's other singles included "Fall In Love," "Rock and A Hard Place," and "Where It Ends." He released a nine-song debut EP, Leave the Light, on October 14, 2022, via Warner Music Nashville. It debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200.

Bailey recently recorded a special rendition of "God's Gonna Cut You Down" as part of Nashville Soccer Club's celebration of its brand-new Man in Black Kit, honoring legendary country music icon Johnny Cash.

And today (3/8), Zimmerman became a double nominee at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, where he is nominated for Male Video of the Year for "Rock and a Hard Place" and Male Breakout Video of the Year for "Fall In Love."
