Blake Shelton is back on his farm in Oklahoma as his wife, Gwen Stefani, plays shows in Europe. Blake has been out in the field doing some farming and listening to a new song called "True Babe" that Stefani has out that seems to refer to her happy married life with Blake.

Shelton posted a cover image of Gwen's new song on Instagram and wrote, "My wife put out a new song today. You know... THE GWEN STEFANI!!!!!!! Go listen, people!!!! It's a hit!!!!! I'm so proud of you, @gwenstefani!!!."

See that post here.

Hours later, Blake posted a video clip of himself in his farm garb singing alternate words about a tree to the melody of Gwen's new song. He captioned the clip on Instagram, "Playing the S--- out of @gwenstefani's new song "True Babe"!!! Even writing new lyrics!!" #truebabe #gwenstefani

The lyrics to the new song include, "Your tattoo still looks cute to me / Cute to me / We're old news, but you're new to me / New to me / I wanna fly to your shows / Wanna wake up in your clothes / Come get you tipsy at 6:30 / Wanna take tonight slow / Yeah, it's alright in my life."

Shelton recently emded his long tenure on NBC's The Voice. His final show (5/23) was a night full of tributes for him, from Dolly Parton to Peyton Manning to Miley Cyrus. Every coach that was on the show with Shelton in the last twelve years paid tribute to him through video messages. And then there was the King Of Country Music, who spoke toward the show's end.

George Strait's video message to Blake came after Shelton hugged and was sung to in person by all nine of his The Voice winners over the years. George said, "Hey, Blake, I just want to say congratulations on the successful run you had on The Voice. You really stole the show, man, you really did. So, congratulations on that, and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do next. I'm sure it'll be great, whatever it is, and I'll see you out there on the road sometime."

After watching the video, Blake responded, "That's the true king of the country right there."

Blake Shelton is loved by many for his wonderful personality and fun-loving ways. He made people worldwide laugh every week on NBC's The Voice before his final season, which just wrapped up last month to a lot of fanfare, and praise for the country star who just received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame (5/12).

While he may not be a TV star anymore, he recently said quitting music was not an option. Shelton told People late last year, after it was first announced that he would be leaving The Voice, that he wouldn't leave music. He said, "Walking away from music, you might as well just poison me or something. That's not something I can go without. I can't help it."

He continued, "I'm not getting away from music! Now I can control the timing, and I'm not on anybody else's schedule when it comes to making a record or touring. I can fit it in a way that makes more sense for us."

Blake said of country music these days, "I'm really at a crossroads right now. The country music lane is changing so rapidly, and there's some really good stuff out there. These young kids coming up, it's amazing to see the music that they're making and how creative they are."

He added, "I'm enjoying watching what's happening and putting a song out once in a while. That's another reason that I'm excited to get some time back away from The Voice and concentrate more on, 'What kind of record do I want to make? Is it going to fit in? Do I care? Do I not care?'

While Blake's personality has always shined bright as we celebrate his 47th birthday today (6/18) on this Father's Day, we countdown what we believe are Blake's eighteen best songs.

An infectious song sung by two people in love. A duet with his soon-to-be wife Gwen Stefani, the song received the Collaborative Video of the Year accolade at the 2020 CMT Music Awards.
