Tim McGraw has announced details on his brand new album Standing Room Only, which will be released on August 25. McGraw also announced a new song from the project today (6/23) called "Hey Whiskey."

Standing Room Only will feature 13 new tracks produced by Tim and his longtime producing partner Byron Gallimore. The new album marks McGraw's first new record since 2020's Here On Earth, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart.

Tim said in a statement, "As an artist, I always want to dig deeper and get better every time I make a new record – it's a big part of what drives me, and I really believe this is one of the best projects we've made. I've been working on this album since 2020, and this collection of songs is some of the most emotional, thought-provoking, and life-affirming music I've ever recorded."

He added, "I'm excited to have 'Hey Whiskey' out so fans can start hearing more of what we're working on – and maybe even more before August…"

The song "Standing Room Only" marked Tim's 92nd career entrance onto Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart. Throughout his career, McGraw has amassed 68 Top 10s and holds the Mediabase record for the most weeks at #1 with all titles, totaling 73 weeks, and holds the record for second-most #1 albums in the U.S. just behind George Strait.

Tim McGraw released a new music video last week (4/27) for his latest single, "Standing Room Only." The video takes place in a junkyard where the cars appear to come to life.

Tim told CMT of the new video, "This video brings the song to life by really giving you a visual of shedding the past and bringing light, literally, to the old junk. I love the metaphor of standing in a junkyard and watching it light up."

He added. "Then we had these sweet vignettes – of a mother and son, of a dad and daughter and others, that showed old junk items coming to life because of their memories. I thought that was a cool concept. That it's not the 'stuff' but the memories of life we hold dear."

McGraw celebrates his 56th birthday today (5/1), and one of the things he has been great at throughout his entire career is picking the right songs. Tim knows a hit when he hears it and has consistently released one hit after another for almost 30 years. As we celebrate all things McGraw on his special day, we rank what we believe are his very best 30 songs.
