Luke Combs: How Ed Sheeran Collaboration Came About
Luke Combs debuted his collaboration with Ed Sheeran when they performed it at last month’s ACM Awards. The song called “Life Goes On” is Sheeran’s first dip into the country music genre.
Luke recently told us about how doing the song on the awards show came about. He said, “His team reached out to mine actually and was like, hey Ed’s wanting to perform an ACM’s, he’s gonna be in Dallas, and he asked if I would want to do the song with him, and obviously I said yes, so it was a great time.”
Combs added how he ended up on the recorded version of the song as well, “[After] Ed reached out to me about doing the song together on the ACMs, I was really excited about the prospects of doing that, and after we decided that’s what we’re gonna do and he reached out again and was like ‘Man, why don’t you just throw your voice on it, and we’ll put a version out.’ ”

Earlier this week, Combs announced via his Instagram that in July, every stadium date he will play would add a second stadium show on his World Tour. The second shows will be added in Tampa, Charlotte, Boston, and Philadelphia.
Luke posted a video on his Instagram saying, “What’s up guys? Luke here. So, I got some exciting news for you all. We are adding a second show to all the stadiums in July. So that’s gonna be Philly, Boston, Charlotte, and Tampa. All of you guys are getting a Friday night show. All those shows are actually gonna have different lineups than Saturday night.”
He added, “Tickets will be released on Friday (6/10), which is super exciting. Obviously, if you’re in the Bootleggers, you’re gonna get a first chance at those. But we’re looking forward to doing a second night in all these cities, guys; I can’t wait to see you there.”
