The Expensive Reality of NFL Sunday Ticket

I have always enjoyed watching NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV, but with the skyrocketing prices over the years, I might have to pass on it this year. So, when I heard that it was moving to YouTube for next season, I was intrigued. While it definitely will be the cheapest way to enjoy Sunday Ticket, there's no denying it is still going to be quite expensive.

For YouTube TV subscribers, there is a special presale period where you can get the season for $249. After the presale period ends, the price goes up to $349. The expanded tier that includes NFL RedZone costs $289 during the presale, but will go up to $389 after that.

If you don't have YouTube TV, the prices are even steeper, with the presale prices coming in at $349 and $389, and the regular prices at $449 and $489.

While it is good news for those who are already YouTube TV subscribers, the new pricing still seems steep compared to other streaming services. With the constant increase in pricing, it's becoming harder to justify the cost of cable and streaming services combined. It may be time to start exploring alternative options for watching NFL games, such as going to a bar or splitting the cost with friends.

As the presale period ends on June 6th, it's important to decide whether the cost is worth it for the upcoming season.
